My dad flipped the couch and punched 4 holes in the wall over a Steelers game....they ended up winning. I actually hate sports because of how volatile it made my dad. That Tubi superbowl commercial had my dad scream in a rage at my mom who wasn't even in the room and when it was obvious she wasn't in the room his buddy yells at his wife to get off the remote. It was on the mantle, its revealed it was a commercial and they begin laughing meanwhile me, my mom, the lady, my daughters, we all sit in this discomfort

The inability to self regulate and not be held accountable was the real issue. Sports was just his flimsy, culturally accepted excuse for being a low EQ a-hole. I can't imagine how horrifying that must have been.
