Literally every Christian to Atheist story I’ve ever heard is some kind of variation of “I started asking questions”. It’s literally just the willingness to expand your knowledge and not blindly believing everything you’re told.

Studying theology and staying a believer is almost impossible. Theology is the science of religion: it explains (as you explain) the reasons why human societies create god(s).

I lost mine because of Education ultimately but I was abused sexually and the whole church hid it and said god forgave him and I just couldnt live with that. now i live by Jesus and his word. he walked the walk to me. but I am not a believer I just use Jesus as my role model.
