RBIs just record what happened. Not every stat is a measure of a player. Fans need to understand that. Outcomes don't equal talent.

You are right but you also aren’t accounting for the mental aspect of knowing there are possible runs on base, and capitalizing when needed. It’s got a lot to do with how a player handles that pressure mentally

It's not COMPLETELY dependent on what the guys in front of you do. You still have to drive them in.

The bonds example just proves that you shouldn't only look at RBI. But no one ever did that. Traditional stats always counted homers. His batting average was pretty high too.
