While this is fair and black women do often verbalize having to tone themselves down (which is a thing they shouldn’t have to do), we can’t ignore the fact that middle eastern women have been labeled as “crazy,” “possessive,” “high maintenance,” or “insecure” for years… Huda was treated like and discussed about as if she fit every single one of those stereotypes. People are mad BECAUSE Huda didn’t “tone it down.” But for the Huda fans, that’s part of her appeal; she was her authentic self whereas a lot of other islanders hid themselves.

This post is everything and hits on so many levels when it comes to black people and how we feel we have to behave in situations like this. It’s really sad and the respect is not there for those of us who try to edit ourselves and hold back on how we respond. I mean sometimes we know we have to hold back for our safety and that’s the sad part.

They are grown women that were confident in themselves and their choices and stood on business and also apologized and took responsibility when necessary. Huda was simply toxic. There were some changed behaviors by the end but that dinner date and passive aggressive comments she made the last episode showed there weren’t many changes.
