That’s not what the MVP is.. Nobody knows the criteria for that. Cause they put team success in it as well. You can avg 35ppg and be 12th seed and not get MVP

The Malone Jordan point is valid with one major exception. Voters fatigue is a very real thing, both Jordan and bron had stretches of roughly 10 years where it would’ve been completely valid giving them the mvp maybe w 1 or 2 exceptions. The idea they didn’t win is what makes it a narrative award but everyone knew who really was the best

There’s been a man who over the last half decade has averaged over 30ppg, 12.5 rpg and 7.5 apg while being the best defender on the planet for almost each of the last 5 years and he hasn’t finished top 2 in voting any of those years. Giannis has been robbed multiple times
