I think he seemed a little closed off when they first met and wasn't ready. To me it's like they built a good friendship first and I think that's what a lot of relationships lack and the reason why they don't really last.

I wanted was him lol but we remained friends he dated and had a child with someone else, among dating one other person well about 6 years later we actually started dating. turns out from talking to his mom that he had talked about me and wanted the same thing but at the time thought I was to young to want something serious. we now have been together 10 years, with two kids (1 we share together) with our second on the way
