While I agree with the conclusion, I think it can be dangerous to point out where Paul differs between himself and the Lord. While the Lord may not be directly speaking here, is not all scripture God-inspired? Should we simply write this off as Paul’s opinion? I worry this can be a slippery slope when done within the Bible

I've been having a conversation with a friend of mine who is not yet a Christian but seems on the brink of accepting Jesus. We've been talking about different aspects of faith, one of the things he's having a hard time with is judgment. I happened to mention something that a celebrity did and why it was a wrong behavior and he said I was judging the celebrity. I tried to explain that it is okay to judge sin, and still love and not judge the person. I even brought up 1st Corinthians as an example of righteous judgment because Paul pointed out things the church was doing wrong but he did it with love and gentleness. what is your take on this?

My question would be where do you draw the line of Paul’s letters being breathed by the Holy Spirit and useful for the whole church, and something Paul just came up with based solely on his own opinions on a specific church

The city of Ephesus was dedicated to Artemis a pagan goddess that had female priestesses. Female converts who used to be former priestesses wanted to gain authority of the church because of the authority that they used to have. They were trying to synergize pagan beliefs with Christian beliefs and causing trouble. That's why those women were told to stay silent and not teach because they were trying to unsurp the authority of men as priests.

When reading the Bible always take this approach who is the author of the Bible not who is the scribes of the Bible if the Bible says I that is God that is not a man’s opinion because if we pull one scripture as a man’s opinion, what to say everything else is a man’s opinion, who is making the decision on what a man’s opinion is is it another man’s opinion deciding what part of the Bible are men’s opinions and what parts of the Bible are God’s words
