When I hear this song, I now think of Palestine and Gaza and what is happening there. I think of all the immigrants taken, separated from their family. I think of all the kids currently missing and no one looking for them. I think of as school starts, my and all the kids in the united states are now put back in harms way in the classrooms. The constant fear for my kids very lives when they should be learning. I have the fear of what exactly are our children being taught. Are they going to have their morals twisted by a new agenda? I hear this song and I fear a war of sorts on U.S. homeland more than what we see now. I fear that my children and children like mine who's very existence is even a threat to the side that wishes to control us. I fear for myself, a single mother with autism and other health issues, and wonder how I will support and provide for myself and my kids if all my rights and all the resources designed to help families in need is cut or taken completely. I hear this song and I hear desperation and pain.
