The problem with anime clothing: artists and animators create characters with impeccable style, but real-world equivalents are often pretty bad. It's especially rare for brands to create compelling versions of clothing in anime worlds - partly these fictional garments don't need to abide by real-world physics or fit on human bodies, so aren't possible to fully capture irl, but often cool inspiration or references are left on the table. @carbon___core sent me this jacket and imo it's an example of a much better approach. If this were the standard for anime-inspired clothing I think fans would be a lot happier. #cyberpunk #anime #streetwear
