Many Black American people are not 100 African, and have some percentage of European admixture. Therefore their "biracial" offspring are not 50/50, and could have any range of Caucasian DNA. Testing your DNA through one of the ancestry websites can elucidate your ratios. I clearly appear African American but my DNA shows 30 percent Scot/Irish decent. And, that is clearly derived from my maternal grandmother who's father was White and my paternal great grandmother who was from Ireland.
