My ANA was recently 1:80 with no other markers (except a high C3 complement which is confusing), and they’re retesting me in 4 months. Currently given a tentative of fibromyalgia while waiting to see if it ever presents as more of a RA or lupus profile or even UCTD. I also have HSD that he said causes my body fatigue

Ana does change but they say they don’t have to do again because once it’s positive its positive.

Did you get a diagnosis? My ANA was initially 1:80 and then the second test was 1:160.

ANA can change even within the same day! But if you get a positive than it is positive. I had ANA coming back negative a few months after I got a positive. It doesn’t really matter honestly. If you have symptoms + positive ANA (only needed once) then they need to consider the posibility that your autoimmune disease is active and treat you (they can do other tests to confirm it depends on the type autoimmune condition)

My FYP is FYP-ing. Having issues and need to get back to a Dr too. But my bloodwork was also super unhelpful. Positive for HLAB 27 and IgA, but nothing fits an actual DX. Crossing my fingers for you!!

I'm new here.. I'm looking at other videos . have they checked you for NMO ? A neurologist who has experience in it as it's rare and hard to diagnose...

Mine was 1:80 in March. Re-tested in July it’s 1:160 but all inflammation markers are normal and ENA negative 🙃

I had a positive ANA all other bloodwork normal. All my doctors, including a naturopath and rheumatologist, all said change your diet. That’s it. 🙄

I had my first positive and i asked what it meant and my doc said... you may or may not have lupus. The end. No idea now if I do or do not have it.

This might be helpful. My rheumatologist would never test ANA in isolation. He says antibodies are 'sticky', meaning if one is elevated, others can be elevated. And yes, and mentioned by others, once it's positive, it will always be positive. You need a referral to someone who can do a proper assessment.

I have had positive ANA for a couple years and my ENA just came back positive...it was negative in January. I hope you are getting closer to your diagnosis.
