I thought I was aromantic for years, turns out I didn’t realise that thinking about someone 24/7, feeling all giddy and excited around them and wanting to date them was a crush.. don’t even ask me how I didn’t know, all the signs where therw but autism made me confused about all my emotions and feelings.. I’m probably somewhere on the aroace spectrum tho since i rarely get crushes but still 😂

I have no idea WHAT romantic attraction is. But I know in my eyes that it’s not all that worth it and seems horribly tedious. The only thing I feel like I'm missing is having someone who would do the most for me just because they love me.

realised later on that the only time i actually thought i experienced romantic attraction was when someone gave me romantic attention first but i was just a madly insecure teenager who felt the need for that validation to feel worth something 🥀

Dude I don’t think I’ve EVER felt romantic attraction, I’m 17. It’s ALWAYS been limerence. But then again I also haven’t had many crushes / my type is rare and I’ve never found a guy my type yet 💔

I’m still confused about being aro well into my 30s . I’ve never had a relationship because I’ve just never liked anyone enough who liked me back, and everyone I have liked I think it wasn’t really romantic. I’m obsessed with reading romantic books though so it’s very confusing
