tbh the game didnt flop because the game is bad, its honestly a really good game, it flopped because the gaming community isnt like how it used to be, we used to play games with bugs and issues that never got fixed and some of those games we consider the best of all time. the issue is the gaming community has been let down by companies that dont care, or have such high Expectations that are never reached. a lot of good games get overlooked because they are either not established devs or people dont have patience to see through the rough patches. for instance the finals, probably one of the best if not the best FPS on the market right now, insane gameplay, unique, very polished, devs are always working on improving and making the game better, but most the time the game is sitting at 10k on steam, obviously thats steam and not console but you get the point. people are so quick now a days to say a game is bad or gonna flop before we even give the devs or the game itself enough time to breath in the space, which has happened here. splitgate 2 is a great game and very fun to play all arpund, obviously theres bugs and issues but the only reason its going back to beta isnt because of that, they are trying to save the game because too many people wrote it off too quick and or bandwagoned the hate it got. either way this is such a long message but thats my opinion.

I know I’m stupidly late, but why I think Splitgate and later Splitgate 2 flopped is because Splitgate served as a refuge for Titanfall players when they couldn’t play the game and when it became playable again, all Titanfall players left back for Titanfall 2, letting Splitgate die and the studio believe that they needed a sequel to bring things back. I played Splitgate so much back in the day because of the titanfall ddos happening at the time; and that’s something a lot of people actually followed too. When Titanfall 2 came back online, I immediately switched and never touched the game again, and I can infer that so did many other people. The game was kind of unpolished and bad but the fact that it was a refuge for me and other people is the only reason we played it. Now, if it ends up picking up a new identity and succeeding, that’s good, but I genuinely don’t have much hope for the future of Splitgate.

I think it’s a good play. The community maps were such a good idea. I think if the devs give the community an opportunity to develop its own content via community and similar halo FORGE type servers I think the game has room to shine
