As a novel reader I 100% agree. The adaptation isn't the best but i cant blame the production team as lotm is just so detailed and long that a 100% accurate adaptation is impossible. The novel is peak tho🙏

I am an anime only watcher of lotm and I honestly haven’t been confused by it so far at all and haven’t even watched the resource videos. I can tell a lot of the questions that Klein has are intended to be answered later on in the story. It does move very fast and it can take a sec to get used to the different characters and abilities.

I do agree with people saying the pacing is really fast, but if you can’t understand the plot or what’s happening in lotm by episode 5 then that’s simply a skill issue. The problem with the lotm anime is how Crunchyroll released of this series. They claim it was gonna have Japanese/English dub at the same time (which isn’t true), didn’t promote the series until the 2-3 episodes. And didn’t add the old man Neil lessons/chibi ending, which would help casual viewers understand the series more.

I mean… CawCawTV has been able to comprehend basically 99% of every episode as a donghua only—no help from chat, no wiki, no YT videos explaining, no reading comments with essays explaining what happened. Also PLEASE do not look at the LOTM wiki, that’s filled with spoilers, even looking up the basic things like the power system will spoil things from season 2+. Ive seen pages in there spoiling stuff a whole 800 chapters away when it’s a volume 1 question

You make it sound like the adaptation issues in LOTM anime are as bad as the poor animation in TBATE anime 💀. The adaptation is indeed fast-paced at the beginning, but to the point that it’s only for novel readers? Just because you had trouble understanding it?
