Even IF op’s fiancé was an abuser and was trying to isolate her, this is not the way to bring that topic up. You do it quietly, you ensure the person knows you can support them, offer them resources and try to slowly convince them that they are in a dangerous situation and to leave. You never escalate a situation with an abuser, you just never know how they will react. The mother would be actively helping to ensure her daughter would be completely isolated by blowing up like she is, it would only be more ammo for the fiancé.

parents forcing their adult children to have life360 and stalking them with it is a huge red flag. my ex's family did that and we couldn't do hardly anything because they would call him if we weren't where we were "supposed to be". OP needs to cut them off

having a tbi is a reason why the mom has certain feelings but it's not an excuse for her behavior. The mom refuses to treat her daughter as an adult and is emotionally abusive not to mention controlling. I'm glad OP finally set boundaries

Anyone who has never experienced dealing with a person who has a TBI has no idea just how hard it can be. OP needs to understand that her mom is not the same person she used to be and unfortunately will only get worse.
