I’m so glad Quincy got away from Siemens. The profibus cord/connectors and the plc was the biggest issue along with the diodes used for the transducer sensors. The worst. So sensitive to everything. Let’s put it on an air compressor that produces heat, vibration, and static.

first step. switch off/on cabinet. second step. switch on/off connector selector for network. third step. change connectors. step four change cables. if still not working you can start crying in advance for next step

Perfect use of Rule #1 when trouble shooting electrical systems: if you don’t know what fixed it… you don’t care what fixed it. It’s fixed. Leave it alone now 😂

It‘s funny, everybody who ever done something like this, agrees that sometimes you honestly don‘t know why it works again or what the problem was. Yet you can‘t really tell this to a non-tech person, because they won‘t understand 😂

Most common thing I've seen do that on profinet and profibus is the grounding for the shield being compromised. Also, Rockwell>TIA>S7

As an IT professional, probably unplugging and replugging in would have also worked. Oh and have you rebooted?
