how do you get into this type of controls service work? I'm a journeyman service/estimator tech for residental and light commercial. do you gotta do new comerical builds for years to grasp the framework and understanding of the controls and motors and move to service?

I actually prefer control net over Profibus but there is a lot of issues with both and I am happy the ethernet or TCP is becoming more prevalent
