Can we add trauma? Anxiety? Maladaptive cooping mechanisms rekated to food? Body dismorphia? Having to redo your relashionship with food and self wirth from the ground up? Learning to enjoy exercise after years of people ruining it for you?... I could go on xD

Letting him get off lucky. I’d add a 45 minute commute on either end of that 9-5. And maybe make him simulate living in a neighborhood without sidewalks/a safe way to go for a walk or run.

I can quit smoking too. it's easy. just quit smoking. but people that are ADDICTED to smoking can't quit. it's HARD. same with obesity. it's hard. nobody said it's impossible. it's just hard to do!

I eat on average maybe 1600 calories a day (most of the time struggling to get there because I have zero hunger cues) and still fat because I have 2 autoimmune diseases 🫠 Just give me someone else's body and I'll shed the weight too

Add chronic pain and other health issues. Working out hurts and it's deeply unmotivating to do it when you are already in pain.

$300-400 a week? What is he eating, caviar and steak every meal? As a family of 4 our monthly budget for food is around 600€, so about $175 for 4 persons/week.

its not about weight its about changing habits, if you want the change badly you'll do it, if want to make excuses then nobody but you can change that. I know its not easy but it took me along time to understand that.

Nothing like someone being shocked at a $200 a week grocery budget to make me realize I’m even more poor then I thought with my strict $150 a month grocery budget 😂 Down 28lbs since June though.

in my highschool health class the teacher would put this show on every Friday called "Fit to Fat to Fit" and this was basically the whole concept except without all the realistic obstacles for the gym trainer 😭 every week I was just like "how is this educational? You might as well just show that one McDonald's documentary where the guy secretly ate like double what he reported just to make McDonald's look worse"

Also there was this documentary on a fitness model and trainer in Australia and he did that and actually struggled at first to lose the weight again and he did say that he felt more connected to his clients after that. I'm not sure about the detail I watched that like 5 years ago.

don't forget people with health conditions that decrease chances of weight loss, like it's possible but these conditions make it harder

Can we add in bad knees & back. I know losing weight will help that but it hurts really bad. I have disc degeneration.

I lost weight and it was easy.. I just had to have no job, do 1-2 hours of cardio everyday, ate a strict diet and spent 2+ hours in the kitchen most days, and slept 8-12 hours a day
got a job and gained it all back + more.
