And if we being honest, Amiyah Scott started that whole aesthetic. The kids were and still are shooketh at her. That hair was laid, glamazon was on!!

Wait this feels backwards, if you're having surgeries to look more like a woman would the source material be a woman? also there are plenty of women in Africa that have the enhanced features naturally so couldn't you argue that they are the true source material?

im trying to digest this. i get what people mean by trans aesthetic, but its still all going back to point A, a women. ok an “overly enhanced” women.. women have been overly feminine/enhanced since the dawn of time.. it seems like s3x workers were the OG aspiring aesthetic? would the aesthetic not just be “fake features” for all parties involved? im trying to understand fr.

I guess nobody has seen hoochie culture, doll culture , s3x workers, and pinup. These all originated with women and have been plum picked by certain parts of the lgbtq community to look like the women they want to be. Hoooooow are we taking something that has been created from a loooong line of women in entertainment industries

This is exactly why I don’t like heavy makeup. It gives more of a drag queen aesthetic which I personally feel don’t look right on me

If A is the model and B gets work done to look like A, and C gets work done to look like A. how is C trying to look like B?

I would argue bc they compliment each other. Trans women have definitely found inspiration historically from black women. Naturally women would be attracted to the idealized version of themselves 🤭

You use to be able to tell the dolls by the body (because the body was perfectly proportionate and that’s not normal). Now, women have bodies like the dolls.

This take really misses the mark. Women have been getting cosmetic work done long before transitioning became more mainstream. When transitioning, these people model themselves after women, and often women with the instagram baddie aesthetic because it’s hyper-feminine. Since natural femininity is something they can’t inherently embody, that exaggerated style is often the only way they can come close to being perceived as women in society. The idea that real women aspire to look trans is not only backwards but dismisses the fact that these aesthetics originated with women in the first place.

I feel bad for our sisters, generally BW who have had those surgeries have been told at some point they weren’t feminine enough. It’s been a journey especially for a certain age group to learn to love themselves.
