I was always(and still am to some point)a people pleaser. It took till I was in my mid 40's to question why I give my time and thoughts to people who don't respect me. I've had to cut out family and friends who drained me. Life is too short to waste it on the hateful people we let into our lives and heads. Move on, block, they burned that bridge you just stop trying to rebuild it. Love ya! We got ya! 💜

Im sorry. Yes not being around family will make you stronger, walking away makes you the better person. Proving them wrong by living your life to the fullest is the best reward. I still sorry too, because losing your family in any way sucks and it hurts. It hurts knowing you have to teach your daughter's blood doesn't always mean family. It makes you "ask what did i do that was so wrong" at least once and probably more. Even tho in your heart you know it's not you at all it still hurts and then turns into either sadness or anger. So all I can think to say is I'm sorry they hurt you and I see all the great things your doing that they are blind to. Your doing great!🥰

I'm so glad you're here with us in the lovely community you built. 🫂 It takes an incredible amount of strength to overcome having those kinds of people around, and even more to overcome those voices when they start to come from inside yourself. I'm so happy you're healing and enjoying the life you built with your girls and your horses, and that you choose to share bits of it with us. “Family” doesn’t mean what they think it means! I too left and found/formed my own small tribe of loving people. My circle may be small. But each one of us will defend those NOT in the room! No one talks shit behind others backs because we have all been abused by people who claimed to have “loved” us! Blood may be thicker than water, but it means nothing. It’s just a crappy phrase they all pull out when they have nothing left to cling onto. My phone done ring now and I’m not sad. I wasn’t wanted unless I could ‘do’ something for them. I never got the recognition for my efforts. That was their glory they flaunted around our tiny town. They ran my name through the mud just to shine up their own. I left that crappy town the second I could, never looking back. My life is my own. And I will live it to my liking. Period, amen!
