They say you find Stray Kids when you need them the most. And I completely stand by that. When my parents split up at the beginning of last year, I had no idea what to do. My grades dropped to a low the old me could have never even imagined. Teachers were telling me how they had noticed that I lost my spark. I was about to enter my senior year of high school and I just barely passed my classes. In February of this year I discovered Stray Kids. It — weirdly enough — all started with a sticker of I.N. And if it weren’t for that sticker, I’m not sure if I’d be where I am right now. Because Stray Kids pulled me through the last weeks of school. They pulled me through my final exams. They pulled me through the waiting period until I received my results. They pulled me through all the tough times at work. They were my best friends when I started losing mine right after finals. They were always just there. That must be crazy to hear but I did those things because they were there. July 11th at exactly 7:30pm was genuinely when I regained my spark. Seeing the people who have helped you through the toughest times in real life does something unexplainable to you. I know it’s weird but I actually feel happier. I feel like the heavy weight I’d been carrying since last year has been lifted off my shoulders. Did I just describe a parasocial relationship?
