I agree but things change when you have a credit card with the airline. I book basic all the time, I'm typically in group 4, I get to pick my seat and Ive been upgraded at times too. again I have a credit card with the airline.

and pending the airline.... you may not get a Carry on. ...nope. basic usually puts me in the position to get off the flight last and if I have some where to go..that's a problem lol

This is good. I used to book basic until it became more of an inconvenience. I need Mike's, upgrades, window seat, and all of the perks that come with my membership/ card.

People book basic economy then get on the plane expecting others to accommodate their seating preference. Also you can’t earn mikes with basic economy
