Just a helpful hint, if you can't afford the higher priced tools to start you can go to HARBOR FREIGHT. The tools are cheaper for the most part and some not so great quality but to start and learn the basics and to have if you need in a pinch then check the store out. I love harbor freight.

I would argue you don't necessarily need the brushless drill/impact. I have the lower-tier brushed Makita 18v LXTs and they're both running strong for years now after daily abuse in a welding shop!
