We have texture on our walls too. About 15 yrs ago I got an estimate to get them smoothed… it was like 20 grand. Needless to say we still have textured walls.

Genuinely I would rather buy a house that I can change stuff than one someone decided to change themselves 😅 our previous owners painted over the original wood trim and doors and it looks awful. I don’t think they even sanded them
