I love the biometrics idea. It’s just like in the movie “6th Day.”

What I don’t get about the mobile one is that it requires everyone to have a smart phone w the app. Not everyone has a smart phone. Or what if I get pulled over and my phones dead or I don’t have service in a dead zone to access the app? It doesn’t seem like it’s accessible 100% of the time

Sounds like a good idea. However there are a few issues. I work as a government contractor and part of my job involves using biometric fingerprinting. If you are someone who works a lot with there hands or someone who cooks a lot or similar career paths, these jobs cause damage to your fingerprints making it difficult and in some cases impossible to scan your fingerprints. In my job when this happens we have to override the fingerprinting. When it comes to biometric IDs this issue could cause a lot of problems. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the content as always

Now is 2025 :
California is also working on it. There’s already a beta version of it I’ve been using a while.

Any id, physical or electronic, is hackable. That's no reason not to use it.
