I never learned how to date. My mom only focused on good looks. I grew up in an abusive household. I never saw my mom be properly loved by a man. My father also neglected me. When I finally started dealing with men at 19 years old, I was completely lost. I was the “good girl”. I didn’t go on my first date until I was like 24. I’m 34 now and a single mother of an 11-year-old son and never had a real relationship with a man.

My mother was crazy strict because she assumed I would do what she did!! I did everything opposite! My grandmother though…..I thank God she was always so perfect in schooling me the right way!! Therapy, narcissism & trauma bonding are all fairly new terms in relational experiences. She always told me to have my own and make my own way!!

I had no guidance at all. The rule was basically, stay away from boys. The male attention started when I was very young, and not just from boys, but grown men. I was terrified. And I was ridiculed and shamed for it. And then I was looking for someone to save me from that. Then I flipped it and became a man eater. Being really mean, but getting close to No one. I chose my husband and I’m happy, but still learning how to operate in a relationship. I love your content…boffum…bigly 🫶🏽

Black girls aren’t taught because black boys aren’t either. Slavery did a number on us. We literally only were able to legally marry the past few generations so courtship and marriage hasn’t been an established cultural norm for us sadly.
