I had/have something like this. but it's not a complete lack of fear, just a weird flat response and delayed feeling, but like I have to almost test or simulate other people's ideas on what is scary.

So there are a few people without an amygdala which is believed to be the cause for all fear. In most cases this is true. These people were tested in all sorts of ways to see how we respond if we didn’t have fear. It turns out thought that these people still feel fear when presented with suffocation. They still feel fear when they can’t breathe. We all do. Suffocation is the one true fear.
