She’s only just beginning. Still wobbly in her steps, still wide-eyed at the shape of the world, and unapologetically loud with such a tiny voice. Already though, I see it—that flicker of wildf in her soul. That spark that doesn’t ask to be tamed. And so, I plant seeds. Not just in the soil, but in her soul. I raise her with mud on her hands and wind in her hair, with birdcalls in the morning and the scent of pine at dusk. I show her the way water moves—how it carves and listens and endures. I let her feel the dirt under her fingernails because I want her to know this earth like a friend, not a stranger. I let her wander because the ability to explore our lands is a privilege that some folks do not have. She is small now, but I want her to grow into a girl who is strong and who does not apologize for her light. A girl wwho speaks loudly with her whole chest but remains tender and soft when needed. A girl who feels deeply and dances wildly and does not shrink to fit any mold. I want her to understand that wild doesn’t need to be presumed reckless—it should simply mean free. It should mean sacred. It should mean knowing who you are and loving that girl fiercely—not fitting into what society wants of you. I know I won’t always get it right, but I promise this: She will never have to unlearn her worth in this home and will never be asked to quiet her fire. She will grow up knowing that she belongs—to herself, to this beautiful land, to the sky and her ancestors that watch over her, and to the roots we’re planting now—one muddy footprint at a time. #MomsofTikTok #momlife #outdoormom #granolamom #fyp
