no shade at all but I'm wondering how this style is less damaging than box braids? I do plaits in my daughter's hair for school in a box style but not actually box braids because I use an elastic at the top and I don't add hair. would that be damaging?

We bringing back Afro centric styles with natural hair yessss 🔥

tqueen0041 :

You are the truth, and if we can get back to the natural braiders, our hair will be so much healthier. I used to have someone who braided my daughter’s hair fine as this 💯 and you’re right the trick is you have to be able to braid and it will come out just fine beautiful work..

SimplyCheeChee :

I remember having this style as a little girl and I was picked on they said I looked like Harriet Tubman. I only wish I had the confidence to accept that as a flex 😌

kaelynalexandria_ :

My problem is I can’t find anyone in LA who does natural hair 😭
