Fr I just lost a bestfriend who has been my rock for 7+ years we went all through secondary together,he even moved schools multiple times to be with me and my sister ,all through college we stayed close,but unfortunately addiction got the best of him and I honestly don’t recognise him anymore, he said some out of character things and as much as it hurt I still could never hate him ,I will always love him,and I even said to him the last time we spoke that I will always consider him my best friend and family and he said the same back, but right now we are not good for eachother,I’m trying to force change on him for the better but he’s not ready to change and as heartbreaking as it is you can’t force someone to get better they have to want to do it for themselves,and that is one of the first hard long lessons I’ve had to learn.I wish wish him the best and will never be the same without him,and to anyone who may be going through a similar situation,it will get better stay strong💕
