My sister is on the death with dignity journey. She has Bone Cancer that has spread all over. Hospice will be there along with her partner. Its her decision and her journey. But I support her 100%. ❤️

I am a nurse and if I have a terminal illness or a chronic disabling condition that leaves me unable to care for myself, this is how I want to go. No use staying alive with a life that is nonproductive while being a burden to others. Worse if I have constant pain.

All who says only God can take life, please know that the same God allow profound suffering and free will. DWD gives terminally patients a chance to die with dignity and relieve the financial and emotional burden of caretakers.

Thank you so much for this, Nurse Julie. Here’s a memoir you should read. “In Love” by Amy Bloom. Her husband had Alzheimer’s and they traveled to Zurich and a group called Dignitas managed his dwd process.
