All they are looking for is validation and approval. If this woman went to the wedding it would signify to all the wedding guests that she approves their marriage and that everything is ok. In reality they deeply betrayed her and something like that is never forgotten or can be approved.

What are they trying to prove? I feel like they're pushing this hard for you to go because if you show up, your presence will validate that their love didn't begin "badly" (cheating on and hurting you). I wonder who on which side has been against this union because of how they began and treated you?
