It's also important to mention that we're in a phase where superhero cinema is evolving from the era of realism (where directors sought to logically and scientifically explain why everything happened) to an era of the fantastic and the marvelous. Monsters and heroes exist in these worlds, period. They no longer have to explain why a giant mole exists or why metropolis could be reunited. That's the magic of comics: they didn't try to convince you with logic, but rather to invite you to imagine without limits. They told you: "Yes, there's a guy with adamantium claws, a god of thunder, a man who shoots webs, and one who runs faster than light... so what?" And you replied: "Perfect! What else are you going to show me?"
