Seriously, seeing the new 4Runner in person was even worse than expected. test-drove one and was so let down. The whole interior is just a sea of the cheapest, monotone plastic, and the quality is simply badjust like the new Tacomas. Every surface feels cheap and hollow. It was even rattling on the test drive, and the salesperson actually tried to tell me it was 'new plastic settling in' ridiculous! Between that and the ongoing reliability problems with the 2.5L Turbo, I'm completely turned off from getting a new 4Runner or Tacoma.
