It’s been a dream of mine to go to Salem and my bday is in October really wanted it to be a bday gift for myself this year and I think i started looking too late on where to stay. Can anyone give me good towns or cities nearby to stay? I’m from Texas, it takes 1 hour to get from one side of the city to the other side of same city. But I know it’s not the same for the new England states.

My best advice is go in the summer. Lines are so much shorter. And even though it’s not halloween-the town just has a spooky vibe.

i had so much fun in salem!!! my favorite was actually not essex st but the harbor near ye old pepper companie! we ate at mercy tavern and had some sweets for after! totally worth the 15 minute walk. AND we saw a black cat!

Did they tell you Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain? Derry in Ireland has the biggest Halloween festival in Europe at Halloween 🖤
