Always do the bare minimum!!!! Once you prove you can “handle” the work load it’ll just be what’s expected of you, whale you “handle” the load upper management turns a blind eye to those scraping by because “xy&z can handle it”

As someone who works in safety if someone is welding and has a sleep disorder or possible rug use those are both HUGE safety issues. I also do a whole program yearly on suspected rug use as a supervisor we have a whole protocol that sounds wild

You are a WELDER! My mom was a welder for years, and stayed at a company where she was grandfathered in so she didn’t need to do any school for it. But her highest pay I think was like $27/hr (upstate NY) so you can guess that’s NOT what a welder should have made after 30+ years with the company. But she loved her job and the people she worked with, she was appreciated so she retired from there. You went to school, did all the things, go where you are appreciated and paid WELL. Welders can make bank with some places and they will actually appreciate your hard work! Try out different companies if you have to, there’s places that will actually appreciate you and take you seriously ❤️

I have sleep apnea and before diagnosis, I would often fall asleep all the time. like mid convo just pass tf out. but once I was diagnosed, and started helping myself w the machine, it fixed almost over night. so that as an excuse ALWAYS pisses me off. 😅

My fiancé was a welder, an excellent one & a hard worker. There are many many many different places to weld in/around my area, but he chose to leave welding because of the same exact things you’re talking about. Seems like there’s no money to be made unless you’re on the road unfortunately.
