I disagree with the notch lapel take. Look at Obama at the White House correspondance dinner (which is a black tie event) you’re telling me Obama doesn’t know how to wear a tux? Or that his personal aides/ political consultants don’t know the rules of tuxedos?

Notched lapels look best. Cumberbunds ARE optional. Wear a vest OR a cumberbund, but personally, cumberbunds look too 70-80s.
