check their credentials. a dietician has them, nutritionists do not. anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. dieticians are actual medical providers.

There are some people who call themselves vegetarians but still eat fish… at least on occasion… so I get why that would be a question… but that’s just a single exception to the rule, not a whole new genre.

I had a nutrition consult while pregnant and said I was vegetarian and she said “oh.. well you need protein. maybe you know better than me- are there any protein sources you can eat?”

my friend was in the hospital her only allergy and dont eat foods were pork, peaches and pears. each meal for a week had at least one of these items.
