I think most people who disagree haven’t stepped foot on a trading floor, let alone any buyside investment / sellside roll

Sorry bro but I don’t agree here, they just have a different edge they don’t need our retail strategies, not saying they don’t work they just don’t need them because they trade very differently, our retail strategies are based on taking advantage of institutional movements I don’t see the point in them using our strategies

Not denying your points at all, but for example TJR posts all his trades. How come he is profitable with his strategy that he posts openly about.

Just a thought but my profitable strategy has an edge on “hedge funds” or big time “arbitrage” traders due to factors such as, with smaller capital I can avoid slippage on entering trades and don’t move the market, I don’t have compliance rules that these traders have or institutional requirements for diversification, don’t have volatility budgets, I can be in cash during worse markets, also hedge funds arent chasing alpha in the way I do. With big capital you can’t enter or exit small caps without moves in the market. Bottom line in my opinion trading with less capital has different edges to produce alpha that don’t need to include arbitrage or use of exotic derivatives.( yes I am actively researching arbitrage and exotic derivatives to induce a long term hedge for when I have more capital because of much I enjoy the topic) Wondering your thoughts all respect.

I've never seen or heard of an institutional mechanical strategy that involves outright positions on a 1-60m timeframe. Almost like a no man's land that they intentionally avoid. I think this area is the domain of informed traders, and you're crazy if you think you'll beat them without on knowing something yourself.
