To those who allege that Thailand initiated the conflict, one must question whether such claims stem from internal misinformation. Satellite imagery and other verifiable evidence clearly indicate that Cambodia was the first to open fire across the border into Thailand. Moreover, the attacks were directed at locations inhabited by civilians, including hospitals and residential communities. Thailand’s response was defensive in nature, aimed solely at neutralizing the hostile forces. At no point were civilian areas intentionally targeted by Thai troops. On the contrary, it is evident that Cambodian forces positioned military assets within or near civilian zones, effectively using innocent people as human shields. Such tactics raise serious humanitarian and ethical concerns.
