I used to have a manager that would swap the money back out to customers if we got fake money 😭 they fired her thankfully but not for that 🤣

If this happens, I hold the end of the bill right till the machine starts pulling it in to create a little tension and allows the bill to go in straight. If it still doesn’t take it, it’s most likely fake
