at my perspective none of them are bad, even the parents. they all are equal if you watched it again they also had their own problems. Marina's mom had their husbands hanging with another girl which make her sad and depressed, Shizuka's mom seen to be stressed to raise Shizuka on her own despite knowing the male that she made Shizuka with was having a lovely life, and Azuma's mom also was mentioned she was hardworking and maybe she was scared of failing as a mum. which tells why she want all of her son to be successful because she didn't want them to end up like her (maybe) and she didn't even realize she's doing it the wrong way. judge was never a first thing to do, understanding are.
