I think once you find someone you feel comfortable enough to be with and see that he and they overall actually like and appreciate it. It helps change your perspective. Not that we need their validation to feel good it's just the opposite of what society tells us as mothers. It's pleasantly surprising.

This was me. Over 30 years with the same man and then asking for a divorce and loosing almost 50 lbs . I couldn’t believe that no man cared from their 20’s to 50’s about our body insecurities. The right man loves it all 💕

I just flat ask them ahead of time how they feel about imperfect bodies. For me the correct responses are it's not about the body, I like all kinds or shapes and sizes, or it's the person I care about. Bonus if they admit they admire women with a little more to her. Plus I don't really have body shame even tho I'm 225, I'm here for the same reason he is. Men like confidence.
