Here's a clue, most of us "seasoned" mums also had literally NO clue when having our first born. I was shocked the hospital not only encouraged but insisted I took the tiny human home with me....by myself, without a professional like wtaf 😬🤣

I've had 2 kids, first one I didn't have a prep machine, second I did have. I will always recommend them because they made life so much easier!!

Just be careful with the prep machine loads don’t reach the right temperature for babies and can make them sick ❤️

prep machine is amazing if forumla feeding especially on the night feeds. I would recommend the MAM bottles they are anti reflux and can be sterilised in the microwave quickly and individually so you can them as and when

Get yourself a Hakka if you bf I’ve breastfed both mine and the Hakka was a live saver! Everyone will tell you don’t be scared to ff blah blah. Girl bfing is a journey and it’s so difficult but rewarding. I suggest reading the positive breastfeeding book. I was given it by my sil and no feeding consultant helped me but that book did!!

I don't know if this was just my babies, but tommie Tippee bottles ended up giving my son reflux reeeeallly bad along with gripey tummy, it made nights really painful (obviously babies wake during the night) but with my first child we was up all night most nights for weeks on end and it was because of the shape of the teat he was getting too much air through the side of the teat and the flow even on stage 1 was too fast we was peddling his legs and rubbing is tummy for hours through the night to try and relieve the pain he was in and it was down to those bottles. we would feed him and milk would just pour out of the sides of his mouth it was draining 😁we switched to MAM and I'm not joking it was the best decision we ever made 100% reccomend those bottles plus the benefits of being able to sterilise on the go without the need for a steriliser PLUS we managed to sleep as our baby was no longer suffering (BONUS😂) the prep machine was something we couldn't live without it's the best! and we too used the MAM steriliser and bottle warmer 2in1 thingy again it was amazing! xx

Love my UV TT steriliser! I use MAM bottles as others have said but don’t like sterilising in the microwave unless I’m at family’s house. I love that the UV one dries them too. Used prep machine for my first born but she was poorly and I didn’t even use think to change at the time but for my second I’ve used the nuby rapid cool and she’s got no reflux or colic. My sisters baby was fussy so she swapped from prep machine to rapid cool hot shot method and he’s like a different baby. You’ll figure out what works for you and your baby 🥰 xx

I just bought the tommee tippee flask. I do a hot shot method. put 2oz hot water from flask then add cooled boiled water to 6oz mark.
3rd baby and cheapest easiest way 🥰🥰 i also breastfed for 10 weeks. Good luck xxx

Google the triangle test for baby bottle teats. there's a lady on here that has a whole page on it. Tommy Tippee bottles aren't great with it and don't encourage a good latch but I know people who really rave about them. my little one hated them.

Best thing I did was have the tommee tippee collection for bottle feeding just incase. Got mastitis within 2 weeks of baby’s birth and had to stop for my own health due to complications. As my midwife always told me, a fed baby is a happy baby. Whatever way works for you 🫶🏻

Love the purchases! If you’re planning on breastfeeding and then move onto bottles, or even combi feed, look for bottles with teats that pass the triangle test! Lansinoh are AMAZING, and don’t have as many pieces as the mam bottles, so less faff😊 xxxx

We were warned against the prep machine by our health visitor. There are concerns that the water doesn't get to the right temperature to kill the bacteria in the formula :( Thego prep will be so good though, I imagine they're like the nuby rapid cool? I planned to breastfeed and got the nuby, things didn't work our so we suppliment with formula and it is a dream!

I found the UV steriliser took ages and can’t hold that many bottles so I just ended up self sterilising them in the microwave so much quicker x
