I see so many saying this isn’t important. It is important to those who are disabled and have the proper paperwork, placards or plates. It’s illegal to park there without it.

You have to display the handicap placard in the window! If you don’t have a placard displayed you can’t park in a handicap spot

Cops are 100% in the wrong on this one. Her grandma was in fact in Walmart shopping while they were parked AND she did have an active handicap placard displayed. The cop assumed she was just abusing the handicap placard… I smell a lawsuit

If this was in Florida the police officer was definitely wrong!!!! The disabled person placard is assigned to the Disabled Person not a Vehicle!!! As long as the Disabled Person was a passenger in the vehicle they can legally park there. All yall wrong

It is against the law to park there without a tag! You don’t get to park there to wait for someone! She could have parked in a regular slot and picked her grandmother up at the door’.

Yes the officer may of did a lil too much but she was asked to take her ID out at 1st and to step out car and she jst was running her mouth asking questions when it was jst a simple ticket!!!

She is suspected of committing a crime. The officer can ask for id to investigate the crime. Cop can remove you from vehicle to detain you in cuffs to investigate crime.
