FROM MY GARDEN TO MY PANTRY! 🧅❤️🌱 I had a whole bowl of onions from our garden, and I wanted to make sure we could enjoy them all winter long, right up until the next gardening season! So I saved some of the bigger onions for cooking our meals and decided to dehydrate the rest to make my own homemade minced onions! 😍 It’s actually such a simple process! 🧅 Peel and chop your onions into small, even pieces. 🧅 Spread them out on your dehydrator trays in a single layer. 🧅 Dehydrate at approximately 125°F until they’re completely dry and brittle. The time will depend on your dehydrator and how small you chop them. 🧅 Let them cool completely, then break or chop them into the size you like for minced onions. 🧅 Store in a clean, completely dry, airtight jar in a cool, dark pantry. Make sure there’s no moisture left before storing! And LOOK at that HUGE jar of homemade minced onions! 😂🙌 I love being able to put it right in my cabinet with all my other big jars of ingredients, knowing it’s something we grew ourselves!
