consumers dont understand there is a difference between an authorization and a charge. hotels authorize for the number of nights. if you check out early the authorization drops off. with mobile apps

This happened to me at a choice hotel. They charged us for three nights when we checked in. Then we were charged our second day for a night. We told them, they credited it and then they continued to charge us every day for about a week. We called the hotel and the corporate office and no one knew what was happening! It took about two weeks to get all of our money back!
