kids today are so unforgiving, they will frow you under the bus for nothing sometimes I wish I never had kids. I grew up in 70s it was common to be beaten by your parents, but we never had unforgivness towards them

forgiveness is hard. i was able to forgive my mom but im still struggling to forgive my dad. if my dad said sorry and changed i could 100% forgive him. i wish my dad could do what you are because i hate him and it makes me feel guilty because he is my dad. its confusing and hard to understand. a lot of us support you because we all wish we could get a sorry ๐

You cry, that's your punishment for what you did to those children. Their hearts will weep every day for what you did to them. Your tears are nothing compared to the pain they feel. And people, don't give this person pity or attention at the expense of those poor children; that's what she wants, still only thinking of herself. Sick person. The only ones who deserve respect and appreciation are those poor children/adult children!

My profession is a therapist but I cannot and will not be hers.. I canโt be her emotional support child and try to help her heal her trauma and abandonment issues when she gave me a lot of mine that I have had to DO THE WORK to healโฆ She doesnโt understand I donโt want her to get heal for a relationship with me.. I want her to do the work to heal for herself..

I recently reconnected with my estranged parent by means of a โlast chanceโ email. โWhy are you so angry?โ Was the first thing I was askedโฆ and for once, I was heard. I got apologies for things that I never expected to. I still donโt have much hope that things change, but I could see the real hurt on that face and I know I finally got through. I know that repairing your relationships may not come, though I can see that you have put in the work, and continue to do so, to change your behavior and own up to your shortcomings in your relationships with your children. I know Iโm not your child, but as an estranged adult child, I hope you know what it means to see your accountability. ๐

Just know that if you were my estranged mom, seeing this would make me give her the biggest hug. And the fact that youโre purposely not sending it to them or contacting them shows that you love them and want whatโs best for them.

I am no contact with my entire family. I love them but they hurt me more than they are capable of loving me because they are a part of a religious cult. If only they were emotionally mature enough to take even of the fraction of the accountability you have for how their behavior and choices harmed me. I have paid DEARLY for the transgressions, indoctrination and poor insight of my parents.
