hi there! I have a cocketail and shes yellow and white, I got her before yesterday and she's still so afraid of me, she started getting out of her cage alone but when I put my finger she backs away from it or bites me depending on her mood LOL. I'm a beginner with birds btw, and I've heard people saying it's been years and their birds are still afraid of them, I'm really scared she will take years. how long should she take in average and someone please comfort me and tell me reasons why she wouldn't be afraid of me for years. this is what I'm doing so far, on the first day I didn't know ANYTHING Abt birds, I just put her on a mitten glove and took her outside of her cage, she wasn't eating I think she was scared to eat. she was very afraid of me and kept backing away ALOT. and I kept putting my finger I think I was forcing her for physical touch and I feel SOOO guilty. I hope she's not traumatized for years now😔 the third day which is today she was eating WAY more and she slept the whole night I think I mean she slept in all the nights. and I started learning more, so I started putting my hand outside the cage for 5-10mins and inside for 5-10 mins and I sat by her 24/7 for the second day and the third day, it's night right now and she's still very afraid of me I'm getting worried please teach me how to make her love me like urs I beg u 😔❤️

my bird was a cockatiel and was veryyy trained... but we moved houses and I took her out for a little fly and she got lost 😭then I couldn't find herrr 😭😭😭😭 she goes around the whole neighborhood 😭😭🙏🙏🙏
