Today I'm beyond excited to announce that I'm joining @Lightspeed Venture Partners as a Partner on their early-stage investing team, and also helping build their new media strategy. A year ago I started posting about what I was seeing at the intersection of tech and AI. I was 6 years into my early-stage VC career and kept wondering: why don't more people have access to these conversations? There were so many compelling stories around technology, startups, and the people building them that I wanted to share. Little did I know it would grow into a platform reaching 350,000 of you. I feel so lucky to have this window into what's being built at the frontier - and feel even luckier to share it with all of you. I've loved learning alongside you, having my thinking challenged, and the people I've met through this work. For me, investing and storytelling have always been two halves of the same job. I've always been drawn to both history and science fiction. My favorite classes were history and political science: how decisions compound, how the world got to where it is. But I grew up equally captivated by what comes next. My dad collects sci-fi movie props (yes, we have an actual Terminator head in our basement). Those two instincts finally made sense when I found a job in VC where both matter at once: drawing on pattern recognition while trying to see something that doesn't exist yet. With more than $50 billion in AUM, Lightspeed has been building alongside founders at the frontier of technology for decades. It's a firm I've admired for years since I started investing - for its intellectual rigor, its long-term conviction, and the way it approaches company building. I’m excited to join a team that brings real depth and substance to its work, and I hope to bring that same ethos to everything I put out. I’m grateful to the team for seeing the same opportunity I do and for trusting me to help bring it to life For everyone here, nothing is changing. I'll still be making videos on AI, tech, and the stories I find most exciting. If you're a founder, thinking about building something, or just curious about this world, my DMs are open. I hope our paths cross soon!
